چکیده
Abstract Aim The predominant pattern of failure for oral carcinoma is locoregional failure. With improvement in control, incidence distant metastasis has increased. Reported 8 to 10%. an aim define and predictive factors posttreatment cavity cancer, the present analysis was done. Materials Methods This a retrospective chart review 531 patients who underwent surgery from August 2013 December 2017. All had undergone followed by adjuvant treatment as per histopathology report. Results median age cohort 49 years. follow-up alive 21 months (range: 1–56 months). Locoregional recurrence seen 61, 23, 72 with metastasis. Total 18% (95 patients) detection 7 months’ posttreatment. sites were: lung patients, bone 9 multiple 37 patients. Nodal stage (N2 N3), differentiation, young age, perineural invasion were associated higher on multivariate analysis. Conclusion found be compared published literature. Possibility systemic therapy may explored future studies.

Prognostic factors in oral cavity and oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma.
BACKGROUND The survival of patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) remains unaffected despite recent therapeutic advances. To reverse this trend, reliable and clinically applicable markers of tumor aggressiveness must be identified. One such marker may be the tumor-associated macrophage content. The authors hypothesized that tumor-associated macrophages contribute to HNSCC a...

UNLABELLED Researchers have been looking for factors that can influence the prognosis of oral cancer, because its outcome is highly uncertain. AIM To evaluate variables that can impact the survival rate of patients with squamous-cell carcinoma of the oral cavity. MATERIAL AND METHODS Data analysis of 45 patients from January, 2001 to January, 2006. Survival rate curves have been estimated u...

BACKGROUND Human papillomaviruses (HPV) seem to be related to distant metastasis (DM) in advanced oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) patients. OBJECTIVES This study aimed to investigate whether high-risk HPV viral load may predict DM among OSCC patients and stratify patients for risk-adapted treatment. STUDY DESIGN Viral loads of E7 oncogenes for HPV 16/18 were measured by quantitat...

We describe the palliative therapy for multiple metachronous oral metastases of hepatocellular carcinoma in a 72-year-old patient with emphasis on maintaining oral functions by local debulking procedures in due consideration of the dissemination of the neoplasm to multiple organs. The first oral metastasis was the first evidence of multiple tumor spread after partial hepatectomy. Palliative che...
